Delhi Milk Scheme Launches New Dairy Products, Allots 22 Booths

    New Delhi, August 14, 2025: The Delhi Milk Scheme (DMS) on Wednesday launched new dairy products and distributed letters of booth allotment at a special event held at the NASC Complex, Pusa, New Delhi.

    The event was attended by Alka Upadhyaya, Secretary, Department of Animal Husbandry & Dairying (DAHD), along with senior officials of the department. It featured the digital launch and unveiling of cow milk and co-branded dairy products, aimed at improving product quality, enhancing consumer trust, and empowering livestock farmers.

    As part of the initiative, 22 new booth allotment letters were handed over to selected applicants under the DMS, creating fresh employment opportunities and strengthening the rural–urban dairy supply chain.

    In her address, Alka Upadhyaya outlined the vision for reinforcing the dairy ecosystem through improved product offerings and inclusive opportunities for stakeholders across the value chain. She also lauded the joint efforts of DMS and the Haryana Milk Federation in bringing new products to market according to the reports published in ddnews.gov.in.

    Varsha Joshi, Additional Secretary, DAHD, highlighted the importance of the DMS brand in serving the Delhi-NCR region and noted that the introduction of new products marked an important step forward for the scheme.

    The event was attended by Rama Shankar Sinha, Additional Secretary, DAHD; Jagat Hazarika, Advisor, DAHD; Ram Avtar Garg, Chairman, Vita of Haryana Dairy Development Co-operative Federation Ltd.; as well as senior officials, dairy sector stakeholders, and beneficiaries of the booth allotment scheme.
