New Delhi, December 11, 2025: Creamline Dairy Products Limited, the company behind the Godrej Jersey brand and a subsidiary of Godrej Agrovet, has signed an MoU with the Telangana government to set up a modern dairy processing facility. The agreement was formalised during the Telangana Rising Global Summit 2025. Spread across 40 acres, the new facility represents an investment of ₹150 crore and adds to the Godrej Industries Group’s overall plan to invest over ₹10,000 crore in the state across multiple sectors.

The investment comes at a time when protein deficiency remains widespread in India, with a majority of the population consuming less than recommended levels. Dairy foods—such as milk, curd, paneer, and milk-based beverages—are among the most accessible sources of protein.

The upcoming plant will help strengthen Telangana’s dairy value chain while supporting consumers’ evolving nutritional needs. The MoU was signed in the presence of Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, senior government officials, and key leaders from the Godrej Group including Pirojsha Godrej, Anand Ramaswamy, and Rakesh Swami.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy highlighted the government’s commitment to fostering an industry-friendly environment that drives inclusive development. He noted that the partnership with Godrej Industries Group will boost agri-processing, create jobs, and solidify Telangana’s position as an attractive destination for investment.

Pirojsha Godrej, Executive Vice Chairperson of Godrej Industries Group, said the agreement reflects a shared vision to expand industrial capacity, create employment, and build high-impact infrastructure. He noted the group’s growing presence in the state across sectors such as oil palm, housing, dairy, and MSME-focused digital solutions.

Godrej Agrovet had earlier announced a ₹300 crore investment to establish an Integrated Oil Palm Complex in Khammam, which includes a Crude Palm Oil Mill, an R&D centre, and provisions for a future refinery. Godrej Properties also made its entry into the Hyderabad real estate market with plans to invest ₹10,000 crore across four residential projects.

Sunil Kataria, CEO & MD of Godrej Agrovet, said demand for value-added dairy offerings in Telangana is growing rapidly due to urbanisation, rising health awareness, and the need for convenient nutrition. He emphasised that the new facility will produce high-quality, protein-rich products while generating jobs for the local workforce. The project is expected to create over 300 direct employment opportunities in the next three years.

Rakesh Swami, Group President – Corporate Affairs, reiterated the state’s pro-investment outlook and noted that the partnership will help advance MSME empowerment, support women entrepreneurs, strengthen agriculture, and enhance housing development in Telangana according to the reports published in themachinemaker.com.

Godrej Jersey is one of South India’s prominent private dairy brands, operating across Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Nagpur. With eight integrated dairy plants and a modern milk powder facility in Ongole, the company has steadily grown from a milk business into a diversified dairy producer. Following its association with the Godrej brand, Jersey has refreshed its visual identity while retaining its well-known cow-pattern legacy. The new look reflects its promise of purity, innovation, and consistent quality.

Godrej Agrovet is a diversified agri-business company focused on improving farm productivity through research-led solutions.
