New Delhi, May 29, 2017: Following extensive negotiations, Arla Foods has signed an
agreement in principle with Vimmerby local council for a new milk powder factory in Vimmerby, Sweden. Detailed planning for the new factory is expected to be completed in late summer.
Following the commissioning of the factory, Arla Foods’ plants in Kjersing near Esbjerg in Denmark and the plants in Mjölby and Kimstad in Sweden will close down. Current powder production in Kalmar and Falkenberg will also be transferred to Vimmerby.
