New Delhi, July 02, 2024: The sudden ₹5 per liter drop in milk prices has deeply affected women dairy farmers in Kuppam, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s constituency. These women, who significantly rely on dairy farming for their livelihood, face financial uncertainty and are unsettled by the lack of an official explanation for the price decrease.
According to the reports published in chennaionline.com The price of milk has fallen from ₹40 to ₹30 per liter within a year, causing distress among the farmers. Despite the Chief Minister’s promises to bolster the dairy sector, the private companies’ refusal to buy additional milk and the challenges in selling surplus stock have further exacerbated their plight.
