Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel inaugurated and dedicated various cooperative sector projects in Banas Dairy Sankul, Diodar today

Reforming and transforming the cooperative sector beyond traditional agriculture, the Chief Minister expressed a new approach of reform, perform, and transform.

Farmers will now get livestock credit without interest through the Kisan Credit Card: Speaker and Chairman of Banas Dairy Shankarbhai Chaudhari.

New Delhi, January 15, 2024: Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has set the vision of making the cooperative sector empowered, capable, and self-reliant, which aligns with the “Prosperity through Cooperation” initiative i.e. “Sahakar se Samriddhi”. At Banas Dairy Sankul in Diodar, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel inaugurated and dedicated various development-oriented projects for livestock and farmers, including the Pilot Project and various development projects of cooperative institutions.

Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel distributed Kisan Credit Cards to women livestock farmers and inaugurated the “Prosperity through Cooperation” initiative. He also inaugurated the Banas Bovine Breeding and Research Center (BBBRC) in Bhiladi for INR 324.77 crores and a modern ultra-modern Atta plant with a capacity of 50 metric tons per day in Badarpura at a cost of INR 45 crores, along with a 10,000 kl per day capacity newly built Banas Whey Protein Ultra Filtration Plant and inaugurated the Banas Bank’s new auditorium in Palanpur and the Farmer Training Center in Kadi. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel also distributed Kisan Credit Cards to women livestock keepers in Bhiladi. He also inaugurated a slew of organic products like Rice pulses etc of Banas Dairy under the Amul Brand as also bio fertilizers under the Banas Organic brand and Banas Dairy Organic Sanjeevani fertilizers. He also inaugurated Banas Bank Micro ATM and Kisan Credit Cards and Pilot projects of Gujarat state Cooperative Bank and Banaskantha and Panchmahal Districts.

He mentioned that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the first cooperative minister of the country, Shri Amit Shah, are dedicated to making the cooperative sector a significant source of development. The Chief Minister praised their vision and stated that Gujarat, especially North Gujarat and Banaskantha district, would lead in cooperative sector development.

Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel stated that the cooperative sector plays a crucial role in strengthening the rural economy. He reiterated the commitment of the state government to follow the path of reform, perform, and transform, inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel said that Banas Dairy, the largest dairy in Asia, is a celebration of the cooperative sector’s success. He mentioned that the decisions taken in the cooperative sector regarding various policy matters will play a crucial role in making this sector a significant contributor to India’s economy as we aim to become the world’s third-largest economy. Under the leadership of Cooperative Minister Shri Amitbhai Shah, many people have benefited from the services provided by Cooperative Societies (PACs), reaching individuals across Banaskantha and Panchmahal districts.

The benefits of services from PACs and Bank Mitra have begun in Banaskantha and Panchmahal districts. In the coming time, PAC-Cooperative Societies will be established, leading to a revolution in the cooperative sector across the country, as expressed by the Chief Minister.

Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel emphasized that the development of the cooperative sector in North Gujarat and Banaskantha district is of great significance. Projects initiated by Banas Dairy and Banas Bank will make a substantial impact on the entire country in the future.

He declared that Banas Dairy and Banas Bank would undertake various developmental projects, contributing significantly to the nation. The Chief Minister highlighted the importance of cooperative development and its alignment with the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He invited everyone to join hands to make India prosperous through cooperation.

On this occasion, the President of the Legislative Assembly and the Chairman of Banas Dairy, Shri Shankarbhai Chaudhary, announced that today is a golden day in the history of Banas. The auspicious beginning of cooperative schemes of national importance has been made on the land of Banas today, under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and the leadership of Cooperative Minister Shri Amitbhai Shah. The cooperative department of the country is progressing on the path of progress today.

The Chief Minister of the state, Shri Bhupendrabhai Patel, expressed special gratitude, stating that today’s initiative will bring great benefits to milk producers. He credited Banas Dairy for economic support to all Dairies in Gujarat through the subsidy provided in milk powder. Today, milk producers in Banas will receive Rs. 50,000 without interest through credit cards, bringing significant benefits to them. The Chief Minister emphasized that the cooperative sector has played a crucial role in the development of Gujarat and the country.

The Industries Minister, Shri Balvant Singh Rajput, announced the inauguration of various projects in the district, bringing substantial benefits to the people of Banaskantha. He highlighted that Gujarat and many states in the country have prospered through cooperative efforts. Banaskantha will serve as an inspiration to other districts, as mentioned by the Minister.

Cooperation Minister Shri Jagdishbhai Vishwakarma stated that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the guidance of Cooperation Minister Shri Amitbhai Shah, cooperative movement is strengthening across the country, making the cooperative sector self-reliant. The resolution of ‘Prosperity through Cooperation’ is coming true today.

Chairman of Gujarat State Co-operative Bank, Shri Ajaybhai Patel, announced that all cooperative institutions should conduct banking transactions with each other, promoting mutual coordination. The pilot project of “Cooperation amongst Cooperatives” has started from Banaskantha and Panchmahal.
