New Delhi, August 09, 2021: Butter continues its back and forth trade this week in the CME Cash Dairy Product Trade, jumping a nickel to $1.6550/lb. Blocks settled at $1.6350 for the 8th session in a row. Barrels fell ¾ of a penny to $1.3075/lb. Grade A Nonfat Milk gained just ¼ of a penny. Dry Whey added 6.25 cents to $.5375/lb.
Class III futures settled in the green with limited gains in August with being about 70% priced. August milk gained 8 cents to $16.11/cwt. September through December finished 25-34 cents higher with 2022 up 10-19 cents. Class IV futures saw gains today as well.
The grain complex finished mostly in the green today. December corn gained 6.25 cents to $5.53/bushel. November soybeans was up just 2.75 cents to $13.33/bushel. August soybean meal jumped $3.80 to $356.90/ton. September Chicago Wheat fell 4.50 cents to $7.1275/bushel, according to reports published in dairyherd.com
Cattle and lean hogs settled weaker on the day. August live cattle declined $1.47 to $122.57/cwt. August feeders decreased $1.55 to $157.65/cwt. October lean hogs fell $3.00 to $87.12/cwt. September crude oil increased $1.02 to $69.17/barrel.
