Madurai, November 07, 2024: Aavin has launched three mobile vans under the ‘Aavin on Wheels’ initiative, to offer door delivery of its products in Madurai.
The initiative, initially aimed at increasing festive sales, has been extended after receiving positive response from the public. “We set a target of 5 crore for Diwali sales and surpassed it, generating more than 7 crore revenue — excluding milk and ice cream — in the past 40 days. We have launched the Ilam Thedi Aavin (Aavin on Wheels) initiative to reach more residents in the city, and the response has been excellent so far,” A Sivakami, general manager of the Aavin Milk Cooperative Union, Madurai division, said.
The vans are currently focusing on residential localities, allowing Aavin to expand its customer base. The milk cooperative currently has 50 parlours in the city. “We are planning to extend the door delivery service to ensure more people can access our products with ease,” Sivakami added.
