New Delhi, October 17, 2024: After a decade of operations at Shamrock Farms’ milk manufacturing facility in Augusta County, Va., the plant’s production capabilities are set to benefit from a $59 million upgrade.
Citing rising consumer demand and national distribution needs, the Phoenix-based dairy processor, which is a division of Shamrock Foods Co., announced the investment in the facility to coincide with the plant’s 10-year anniversary.
Shamrock Farms said it opened the plant in 2014 to extend its distribution reach, and the upcoming expansion, scheduled to complete in 2028, will mark the second such project at the site since it opened.
The project calls for additional equipment, a new production filling line and cold storage space. Shamrock Farms said it will receive a $600,000 Virginia Investment Performance Grant for the expansion, as well as a $300,000 grant through the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services according to the reports published in foodbusinessnews.net.

The company’s dairy products are sold in all 50 states, at retailers and quick-service restaurants. The Shamrock Farms portfolio includes a ready-to-drink milk line and Rockin’ Protein shakes.
