Idaho farmers tapped for national dairy leadership

Brubaker, January 06, 2019: John Brubaker, owner of Knott Run Dairy in Buhl, Idaho, has been elected treasurer of United Dairy Industry Association’s board of directors according to capitalpress.com

Other Idaho farmers serving on the UDIA board are Brian Esplin of Shelley, Dan Gilbert of Blackfoot and Tom Kasper of Melba.

Brubaker, Esplin, Gilbert and Kasper also serve on the Dairy West board of directors along with Utah dairy farmers Chace Fullmer and Jeff Hardy.

In addition, Idaho dairy farmer Steve Ballard, owner of Ballard Family Dairy & Cheese in Gooding, was elected treasurer of Dairy Management Inc.’s board of directors.

He also serves with fellow Idaho dairy farmer Kim Korn of Terreton on the National Dairy Promotion and Research Board. Ballard was also elected chairman of the Dairy West Board of directors, and Korn also serves on the board of the Idaho Dairy Products Commission.
