Dairy farmers’ proAction gets $2.7 million


New Delhi, January 30, 2019: The federal government is giving $2.7 million to Dairy Farmers of Canada to continue its proAction program designed to have its members produce quality milk in an environmentally sustainable way.

Pierre Lambton, president of Dairy Farmers of Canada, said “dairy farmers across Canada are committed to the highest standards in regards to sustainable production according to o.canada.com.

“As such, our proAction program has been instrumental in demonstrating farmers’ responsible stewardship in producing milk that is of the highest quality. “This funding will allow for ongoing improvement of proAction and will ensure that the industry meets the expectations of consumers for decades to come.”
